Hi Itchy, To answer your questions: 1. ABDA is not in the datasheets provided but you can mock something up. The system is pretty easy and there are lots of examples. I've done something like that. 2. The rules are suited to larger ship and multi ship engagements. You can play with cruiser and destroyers but the destroyers in particular are pretty brittle and rely on not getting hit. With lots of ships - cruisers and destroyers it can be fun. 3. Not sure - best let someone who knows answer that question. Cheers, Tom

Like the sound of a campaign system - perhaps in the Pacific? Or raiding with Graf Spee?

yep - you just go tot he bottom of the excel page where the tabs are, right click and then unhide. You will see it then. Simple matter of just saving the file again. I don't bother to hide the tab after this.
Cheers

What scale are they? And maker?
Are you going to paint the lines on the carriers deck?
Cheers tom

There's a tab, possibly hidden where all the information is stored. You should be able to un-hide it and make any changes you need. I have updated my sheet a few times with some errors I have found.

Hi There are a number of errors in the ship database. Dread will probably brief you on the issues. I suggest you use what your info suggests. More reading try....http://steeldreadnought.proboards.com/thread/744/corrections-ship-sheets Welcome aboard and enjoy the game.

Hi
I'm just painting up my pacific USN fleet. I've got a couple of Gridley class DDs and checked the list as one of them was going to be USS Maury (one of the most highly decorated ships in the Pacific). Anyway on the ship database this is classified as a Benham class DD with the USS McCall. There are also a few Gridley class ships that never actually got into service.
I've corrected my database but has anyone else noted anything regarding this?
Cheers, Tom

Kylek and I are playing a game BR on vassal and one of the things that gets me is that you can sink sinks but the chance of the fleet / ship morale is not rolled until a bridge critical hit occurs on the ship. On the modifiers there is no mention of friendly ships sunk, etc. In my humble opinion that means that fleets can keep belting each other up hammer and tong and not turn / flee.
What do other people think? Is there any house rule for rolling when there is a capital ship is sunk? With maybe a modifier for previous ships sunk?
Thanks for any comments.....

Found an earlier thread that says the other critical is applied.....
Is there an echo in here?

Hi
Just a quick question re the fire spreads critical hit.
It says that if this occurs roll on the critical table and on a fire, flooding or rudder result incur 2 damage and roll again. I take it that no other critical hit result counts, ie there is no damage?
Is this correct?
Cheers tom
