Seeing my dificculty to find opponents. wouldnt be a nice idea to build up a VASSAL module for NT. It shouldnt be difficult to assemble.

Just print off however many you like, up to the historical limit.
The Excel files are fan-created tools, not official products. So consider them accordingly.

Unfortunately those were fan created tools that I included for free with the rules. As of yet, nobody has created a Star's Reach tool.

A few rules issues cropped up today whilst playing Jutland. 1. Can a destroyer flotilla fire both all of it's guns and then fire torpedoes in the same turn? 2. If a light cruiser, which has no main batteries, takes a main battery hit do you delete a secondary, or is it 5 points of damage? 3. We found it possible to move a destroyer flotilla up the side of a capital ship and then park itself in the front of a ship in outside the secondary's ark, and claim nothing could hit it. We decided that in this case it had to risk the fire of a full secondary broadside - what does everyone else do? 1. Yes 2. I believe it takes 5 damage. Whatever the result is for no main batteries remaining. I don't have the rules in front of me. 3. The secondary arcs were simplified for faster gameplay. Your solution is a reasonable one.

Definitely scrapping is the way to go. Love to hear more about this as it goes forward!

I actually had some at a "roll your own" sushi party the other day. It wasn't bad. . . or I was just drunk. One of the two.

I was away a few days. Apparently there's been a spam attack. I'll try and go through tonight, clean up the spam posts and block or restrict the spammer somehow.

There have been a few people suggest this. I don't think anybody has ever taken it past the idea stage though.

Cool. Send me your email address via PM. When I'm ready for some more playtesting I'll check in on where you're at with a group. Thanks!

I am definitely looking for extra help in playtesting. Do you have a group that you play with regularly?

That would be a huge undertaking. Not sure I see that happening.

Nope, only 39 guys. Your reaction is a common one though.
We did have a great battle of Spartivento Sat afternoon, although it was not run by me. It looked great!

Not sure what you mean. I did complete stats for every ship found in All the World's Fighting Ships for each fleet.
If you see something not listed, it wasn't in the book.
Check the shipyard. . . a lot of people have contributed designs there.

Actually, in my experience I find newer naval game players tend to be VERY aggressive.
It's only a game after all. Nobody is being held to account for the (inflation adjusted) billions in equipment and thousands of lives under your command. So not a lot of concern about force preservation. LOL
