WSF....they started out a bit grainy, but smmothed out with a few coats of clear coat and primer. Texas is almost done waiting on dull coat to dry. That's why I wondered. I've heard clear coating is the way to go on grainy models. I have some airplanes in 1/144 to do. I washed them to remove excess material's then multiple clear coats to seal them as they tend to be pourous and suck up paint. I then used testors fine spray primer which really smoothed them out before I painted.

I just received my first order of 1/1800 to go with my WotC War at Sea models. There are designers making them in multiple scales. First order: IJN Hiryu USS Texas Primed and ready for paint: Very pleased with the quality. Hope to finish next week.

I am looking for help to create several scenarios within a War Plan Orange game that I am creating. See if you can secure a copy of the Avalanche Press game by the same name...a great resource.

Detail is much nicer on most of the shape ways models I have seen. Most modelers are also working in 1/1800 scale to go with the WotC war at sea line as an alternative or to fill in gaps WotC never made.
You are correct a Google designer cold do almost anything in any scale and it eliminates the need for casting. As a result price is a it higher than PS which is still very nice for war gaming.

Don't forget the French were not the only ones with four gun turrets....the KGVs featured four gun mounts.

I assumed you already had it....the AP games are a great resource for campaigns and the maps are wonderful. War Plan Orange is long OoP and very pricey if you can find it. Pacific Crossroads would be a good alternative and obtainable at $20 or less online. www.avalanchepress.com/gamePacificCrossroads.phpIf you have already done so check out the AP site as they have many great titles.

Very nice!
Are you happy with your air rules and do you have them posted somewhere?

Very cool....his was one of my favorite games growing up as well. In the past few years I have played this as well as the original War at Sea with my sons a couple of times.

Now that I am how I finally purchased the new battlefleets update.
When I was on my account I noticed that three of the other purchases have been updated since I last downloaded them.
Can anyone tell me what the changes were as Wargames vault simply directs me to downlaod all the files. I have all my rules printed and would hate to reprint everything for a few pages.
Specifically:
NT Battleshup row updated 2011-07-07
NT Clash of dreadnoughts updated 2011-07-07
Naval Thunder: Rise of the Battleship II updated 2011-07-07
I want to have the most current information, but if it is only one file or a few pages I would prefer to have a list of changes so I can update my hard copies easier.
TIA,

Sounds like a great time......sorry I missed it, just too close to my return home this year. I have been looking forward to playing this one as I know Mike has been working on it for some time. I helped him out with some of the DDs last year before I deployed. Look forward to the write up with pics (hint, hint).

I use my WaS minis exclusively for WWII. I use a variety of 1/2400 minis for the other periods. The 1/1800 AH models work just fine with NT.
