I think/thought Bluebear had some of these??? Or maybe he had seen them?
I found the post, Jeff as only heard good things about them, not seen them.

It looks like there will be a WWI fleet book, so maybe a WWII one also/ See "Yanks" under Clash of DreadnoughtS area.

It can be done with a Tiger gunship, fire a nuke, penetrate, roll a 20...boom! Just like in countless movies and shows. ;D

Glad the Raven stuff came in. I just ordered some Fox stuff which should come next week.
I have plenty of mistakes you can learn from...lol
You're right about the replay value. The varible points gives so many different fleet make-ups for the modren war and then you can always play early war!

Look forward to seeing the pics of the finished products. If you think of it some pics of the entire process would be great as I was always curios what the unassembled unpainted models looked like. I believe the ones we played with at NAVCON were assembled and painted by Leslie. Great idea, and those pictures you posted look great!

"Except for being a sweet missile magnet" This is exactly what happened when we try to do something like this. Also, it keeps you from being flexible as your ship movement is more or less set before you go. Finally, lets say I win the initiative and go first. I move ships, you move ships, now I launch, you launch. Now unless you could launch enough to cover the gaps, I move/mirco jump fighter around your ships, your shell starts to crack or weaken. Then the missiles strike!!! ;D You do have the right idea, as I like to use small screening ships to help with PDF and the fighters to cover my big ship approach, but if you place all your eggs in one basket and the basket fails, it's all over.

"Love that Basilica ship by the way! "
Thanks! We also had one with one fighter group as a way to get off and on the ship, but in the end felt it gave it a weapon, something we were trying to avoid.
